The Solstice 5K is an annual trail event held in Moncton that celebrates the summer solstice by racing against the sunset. Participants receive a pair of New Balance Fuel Cell Pvlse V1 running shoes and a finisher's medal. The event encourages sharing experiences using the hashtag #Solstice5K and tagging @runningroom.

The race features an out-and-back 2.5 km trail course starting at Bore Park. Seven waves begin about 50 minutes before sunset, aiming for runners to finish around sunset for a unique evening running experience.
