The Dinosaur Valley Half Marathon offers participants the opportunity to run along the scenic Red Deer River and through the remarkable terrain of the Canadian badlands. The event features three distance options: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, each catering to runners of different levels.

The half marathon course is mostly flat with some small hills and includes a scenic 1 km gravel loop. The 10K is flat and fast, while the 5K is mostly out-and-back and suitable for new runners, following a flat route along Riverside Drive.
